After a promising start to 2025, Dallas residential break-ins have taken a concerning turn over the last couple of months. According to the Dallas Police Department crime dashboards, April and May 2025 both saw an increase in residential property break-ins compared to the same months in 2024, breaking the downward trend from earlier this year.

Southeast, Northwest, and South Central divisions round out the list, all with fewer than 120 break-ins each. These figures highlight that while every part of Dallas faces burglary risks, the Northeast and Central divisions remain key hotspots where homeowners should be especially vigilant about their security.
